I received from Tero today!
This bookmark was done with quill and ink, hughlighted with lead and gold, had glittery stamped butterflies all on handmade paper!!  I am floored!  Amazing bookmark, Tero!

Shown in The Drawing of the Three (2nd book in Stephen King's Dark Tower series)

The other bookmark Tero sent me will be in my "unofficial" post Smiley

Thank you so much Tero!

I received 3 bookmarks today, 2 simple-but-elegant thong/tassel markers from DarthSqurl and one fun paper collage from Rainbowsaurus.

Here's an "action shot" of the gold tassel bookmark from DarthSqurl:

Here's a closeup, the better to appreciate the cute little orange button:

Here's a closeup of the bauble atop the purple thong marker from DarthSqurl:

And here you can see the bottom bits as well:

I love the little silver eye bead and, of course, the wee little key.  (One of my theme suggestions was "skeleton keys.")  Thanks, DarthSqurl!!!

"Circus sideshows" was another of my theme suggestions, so I got a double-sided collage of vintage freak-show images from Rainbowsaurus.  Here's the front:

And here's the back:

(FYI, it's inside The Bibliophile's Devotional.)  Thanks, Rainbowsaurus -- this is right up my midway alley!!!

Here is the bookmark that I received all the way from Austrailia, courtesy of KnittingJo, who also included a Freddo Frog chocolate (which didn't last long).

On the back it has a rhyme:
Four stiff standers
Four dilly danders
Two lookers
Two crookers
And a wig wag.

Thanks Jo!

Received another gorgeous tree from jungianwanderer!
The lovely tree is double-sided, done with watercolor then laminated.

It's been put into immediate use in my very fascinating "Games Mother Never Taught You: Corporate Games-Manship for Women" (published in 1977).

Thanks jungianwanderer!

I love all these different bookmarks. The watercolored one is just beautiful! I never realized how many styles bookmarks could come in!

Undecided I'm hoping my bookmarks make it soon - we had some flooding downtown during the Hurricane/Tropical Storm/Depression that lit down on TX and flooded some of our library and post office, so I'm hoping my bookmarks made it out before the floodwaters made it in.

I had two lovely bookmarks waiting for me in my mailbox today!  The first one is a lovely belly dancer from jungianwanderer:

the front

and the back

Pretty incredible, yes?

I also received this very clever riddle bookmark from Knittingjo!  The riddle side first:

the riddle says:

Old Mother Twitchett has but one eye,
And a long tail which she can let fly,
Every time she goes over a gap,
She leaves a bit of her tail in a trap.

The answer:

My husband got a good kick out of this one Smiley  She also sent a tasty, adorable little Koala which I named Sammy... sadly, all that is left of Sammy is this photo and a memory.  A very tasty memory...

Thank you, ladies, for the awesome bookmarks and for being such amazing partners!
