So far I have posted these in the wrong place...twice! Here, one more time, are the bookmarks I received from Dawn0684 and Pollyprissypants. Also, I now realize that the pictures are too big. I am, as my son would say, a newb. However, as I have said before (in two other posts) they are both lovely. I am amazed at how different everyone's entries are--so creative. Thank you both.

I received from Michela this morning, a lovely bookmark using green jasper because my love of foresty/natural colours, and I made a request for anything with a sense of snarky humour, with an evil twist - which she interpretted as monkeys, so it has a monkey charm.  That made me laugh, so well done!

Here it is in active rotation with my copy of Jayne Slayre, which is my current read, especially now that I am 99% done my current swaps.

All of these are wonderful. I want to try my hand at the cornered bookmark, like a little dunce cap for my book. Or fancy origami. Whichever Smiley

And thanks for the compliments on my book o marks Smiley I thought it was pretty clever, too. I had never known those books had an official name! I hope you like, kittenmittens  Undecided

I received my fabulous awesome package from MiLady. She is a fantastic partner and I'm so lucky to have gotten her. She sent me SO much stuff and has really spoilt me rotten.
Okay on to the goodies
She sent me 2 lovely cards, a fabric bookmark with a cute little robot (I agree, the robot is awesome and unique, much better than a flower) and a crochet bookmark with 2 hearts (MiLady is so talented, I just started learning how to crochet yesterday). This was all wrapped up in gorgeous fabric with an even more gorgeous ribbon. Then for souvenirs, she sent me a large stick lolly (I don't know it's name) but it did get broken, but it still looks alright and I'm sure will taste lovely. I also scored a postcard depicting the public transport system (if I ever get to England, I'll at least be able to travel some of it on train hehe), a large sticker, visitors map, a guide to her town, a magnet, a tourists bookmark and a badge. Phew now I've typed all that out lol, onto the pictures of the fabulous stuff.

This was such a fantastic parcel to receive and I thank MiLady so so so so so so so much for spoiling me so well.

I'm so glad you like them, I received yours this morning, I'll grab my camera from my bag when I find it (went out last night teehee). The lolly is known as a stick of rock, traditionally they're sold at the seaside in the UK and brought back as gifts when people have been on holiday. I hope your crocheting goes well, I actually made another one of these that was ready to post and it got bought off me at work! So yours is the second improved one! The postcard depicts the grid system in Milton Keynes, I think those are the bus routes, but the post card is made to look like the london underground map, it's a relatively new town/city and was entirely based on americas grid system except with a whole tonne of roundabouts. We're not allowed to be known as a city because we don't have a cathedral, we've applied for city status several times and failed and yet it's unofficially known as "the city of trees". Cheesy just a little bit of trivia there for you.

The ladies in the tourism shop were really helpful and kept giving me more stuff to send you, so much so that they even gave me a bigger envelope in order to fit it all in  Cheesy

I hope you liked yours. I looked at the map of your town and immediately thought of Melbourne - it's got almost the exact same layout. I thought the postcard was something to do with public transport because trains are done like that here.
I've got a piece of trivia in my phone that mentions cities are only cities with a cathedral, and there's something about villages being villages if they have a church, and if they don't they're a hamlet I think.
I was shocked you sent me so much - felt bad I didn't send as much but our visitors' centre just doesnt stock that kind of stuff and if they do, it's exorbitantly priced.
I was surprised you made two bookmarks - I felt uber spoilt hehe.

Here is side one of the marker Michela made for me. I let thistles grow wild in my yard, much to the annoyance of my neighbors, where the seeds blow over!
Side two is thusly -

It is the Queen's summer residence, and she is in it when the shot was taken by Michela herself. I got very wistful upon seeing these Scottish photos, as I went to school over there and still miss all the fabulous scenery.  Thank you so much, Michela.  I love it!
