Hi all!  This is my first challenge and my first time uploading pics so bear with me.
This is a purse that I made from my sons old jeans.  He is constantly wearing a hole in them and I hate to pitch them so I'm glad to have a found a use for these.  He is very proud of the fact that I recycled his jeans, LOL.  The lining is some scrap fabric I had laying around, I also had leftover interfacing so the only things I bought were thread (darn, I ran out just as I wound the bobbin), and the magnetic snap.  The button detail is from an old, but expertly tailored suit jacket, I found at Goodwill.  Sorry, I didn't think to use them until the last minute so there is not picture of it.

Re-purposing items is harder than it looks, kudos to those of you who do it all the time.  On to the pics, hope they work.

Thanks for looking!

You did a great job on this! I love the way jeans look as a bag. Was it very hard on your sewing machine?

When I sew thicker bags I find the- interestingly enough- quilting needle works very well.

Thanks for the tip on the needle, I had no idea!!  I have an old singer so the machine was none to happy through this but I think it's still working.  LOL   I really didn't think through the denim being thick I just jumped in as usual.  Appreciate you taking the time to comment.   Grin
