here are (finally) the pictures from the items I got from tavernkitty!
Thankyou!!
I used the pictures I posted on my blog, therefor the watermark...
First up, I received from tavernkitty, 2 hairclips inspired by Nodame Cantabile

and for my next item, I got a doorhanger. So clever actually, when I'm out, people can leave messages in the little bag but I'm too scared to hang it outside my door in case a drunken student thinks it's funny to steal it ...

Look at those amazing details!! I wish I could embroider ...

and here are a bit better pics of my items
a bracelet made from paper beads, coted with manga paper and paint.

a close-up

and the other item, a headband featuring Tomoe from Kamisama Hajimemashita

I had much fun in this swap ^^ Hoping for a second round!

Wow that embroidery really is impressive. Was that from a pattern or freehand? Also how do ya'll make your printed fabric? Fabric transfers? Printing directly on the fabric? Lovely items ^^.

I also had questions about the printed fabric. How do you do that? Do you just print on fabric?

Hi, everyone! I understand your organizer is currently out of contact, so I wanted to pop in to try and help as much as I can.  I'll look through the discussion, too, but please help me out by messaging me if you've either sent or received your package as it will make jumping in much easier for me. Smiley    In your organizer's absence I can get you feedback and taken care of until she returns.

Thank you!

whew! Back from dragon*con. Little sleep, little food, but lots of fun. Although I think I saw less costuming this year what I did see was of course very nice! Marvel photoshot was AWESOME. Meet a spectacular squirrel girl, and feral. Was blown away by a Alucard (Castlevania: SotN) + Richter Belmont, and had a great time pulling out my own cosplays. I hope everyone has had as much fun!

Riechan and JadedEva:
Thanks! For the embroidery I traced two images that I liked onto a piece of paper, ran over it with a iron transfer pencil, ironed it onto the felt and then embroidered on top. No freehand this time. As for the fabric I simply used the dark t-shirt transfer paper to print out the images and then iron them onto the fabric. They do make fabric that you can print on directly but I dont like how the images come out all the time. They seem faded and I think you may need a certain printer for it, although Im not sure. Never used it. I always print out as many images onto the paper as I can so I utilize everything. I have a ton of images that I thought about using for this project. I almost made a bracelet but decided to do a embroidered door hanger instead. ^.^

My DC says my partner received on September 4, but I haven't heard anything from him either about receiving or sending.  Sad
