New Look 6557  - Love the blue one!  Inspired to make one for my cruise in December.  Can yout ell me whihc view you used on New Look 6557  for the blue dress.  Also is the pattern true to size?

Thanks so much!
Doreen

It's view B (because I don't like halters).

Generally, I'd say go somewhere in between your off-the-rack size and the measurements on the envelope. I take a size 8-10 dress off-the-rack, would need a 20 or larger for my bust as per 'pattern sizing measurements', and take a 14-16 in Simplicity patterns (see finished garment measurements on the envelope for more accurate sizing than the sizing measurements). Once you know how a certain make of pattern fits you (many have tips for creating a custom fit-size 16 bodice, size 12 skirt, etc.), you are pretty much set for any pattern that company produces.

Hope that helps. Have a fun cruise!!
