I had been wanting to make a skirt or dress for my daughter (I'd only been making purses/bags) and came across a simplicity pattern that I liked. I let my daughter (5) pick out her own fabric, tulle, ect. I think she did a pretty good job at matching. The project only took a few hours to get done and I can't wait to do more! Anyways its my first wearable project I have done and I am excited Smiley

It has! I just used the same pattern and more fabric I let her pick out. I just need something else for the bottom trim and I am done with it.

It is the simplicity 2356 pattern. The one I used is just a simple circle skirt ( i was afraid of making my own pattern!) then just took ideas from the other photos for the other skirts. The tulle is just sewn onto the bottom. I wasnt sure when we bought the pattern if it was an underskirt or not. So I went the easy way. I do think I will make some underskirts eventually and that way I can pick and choose what skirts to put it with. My daughter is a skirt and dress girl so I know there will be many lol.
