I had been wanting to make a skirt or dress for my daughter (I'd only been making purses/bags) and came across a simplicity pattern that I liked. I let my daughter (5) pick out her own fabric, tulle, ect. I think she did a pretty good job at matching. The project only took a few hours to get done and I can't wait to do more! Anyways its my first wearable project I have done and I am excited Smiley

Cute! I like the contrast of polka dot and floral.  The little pocket is sweet!

That is so delightful. Your daughter has great taste!

Do you know the pattern number? Is the tulle a separate underskirt, or just sewn onto the bottom?

It has! I just used the same pattern and more fabric I let her pick out. I just need something else for the bottom trim and I am done with it.

It is the simplicity 2356 pattern. The one I used is just a simple circle skirt ( i was afraid of making my own pattern!) then just took ideas from the other photos for the other skirts. The tulle is just sewn onto the bottom. I wasnt sure when we bought the pattern if it was an underskirt or not. So I went the easy way. I do think I will make some underskirts eventually and that way I can pick and choose what skirts to put it with. My daughter is a skirt and dress girl so I know there will be many lol.

Well done!  I love the fabric...and your daughter seems very happy in it, too.

Cute!
