I agree with the million other posters that your version looks better -- the chain is less generic, and I think the brass complements the rough look of the thread much better than the shiny gold.

I may have to try this myself...I've had some pendants laying around that are lacking a suitable chain, and I think this will go nicely with some of my steampunk-ier stuff Smiley
