Well, I don't know why she didn't want to wear it. Yours turned out gorgeous. I say sell it! There's a huge market for that kind of thing right now, and maybe you can make a profit on it!

Yes! My advice exactly. List that dress for sale online, ask an enormous price for something so lovely and well made (I am assuming based on the one I see) and use the profits for more crafting supplies. Surely your friend will understand, after having gone to such enormous effort that you would like something back for it. If not to see it out in public at an event, then at least to be paid for all that hard work!
Really, there is a huge market for such attire, consider it at least.

The bad news: There is no key to happiness.
The good news: It isn't locked.

I wish I could sell it, but I don't have the heart to part with it. She does want it eventually, when she has the money to pay for it, but I don't have any idea when that could be. If not within the next year I'll probably just have to break the news to her, I'm not a stroage facility either, as it takes up a good deal of my closet space lol.

Any way thanks again for all the really sweet comments, it means alot to me Cheesy

You look amazing! Beautifully pale, and so elegant in that dress. It would be great to see photos of just you in the dress to see the details better, and to see what the other dress looks like. I'm glad you had a good day out!

honey your work is gorgeous and quality so you deserve to be paid!!! I hope you end up getting what you deserve. NEVER take a project on without getting paid first, babydoll, even for your own mother. LOL Life's lessons learned right? That aside i wish i was there! can't say enough good things about the dress.

The dress is so full of details and you look wonderful in it!  Nothing like a well-fitted outfit to make you stand out!

Hope to see the second dress as well!  I agree on selling it or charging a fee for the finished dress--I quit making stuff for free for family and friends because they have no idea what time and money can go into making something custom...Sad

Hope you get to wear your own dress out to more events--nicely done!

I am sooooo totallly loving your dress, and the entire day of fun you had.  I agree with the other lot, and your friend should have worn it. SiGH. friends. LOL Maybe she didn't think she could pull the look off as well as yourself.

Love it!!!!

WOW!! You look so beautiful and your dress is amazing!!!
If I thought for one minute I could fit my big toe in the dress you made for your friend, I would buy it..
Maybe after a few more weeks in your closet you'll be a little more comfortable with the idea of selling it?
You have seriously mad designing/sewing skills that you deserve to get paid for!
