Slight overkill, I know but once I started, I couldn't leave anything out- it felt wrong!

Thanks for looking!
I don't think its overkill at all, I love all the information you shared with us! The more info the better in a tut!
These are so expensive in the store, I'm so excited to try my hand at one!

Awesome idea. I think I'll make one for my best friend. So loves going on picnics. This would be great for her.

Thanks for all the lovely comments!

In the end, this particular one wasn't exactly a super cheap option for me as I had to buy literally everything to go in it (I rent a furnished place and don't own any cutlery or crockery or anything like that) but you could definitely do it for a lot cheaper if you had existing things.

I think the hamper itself and contents cost me around 40 although most of it was from charity shops/cheap shops but all the fabric is from my stash (the cushions are made from old curtains!) so the all the things I made only cost about 3 for the batting and some ribbon. I can never resist ribbon.

Anyway, this is the first thing I've made in ages and I really enjoyed it so was definitely worth it for me.
