I made this distressed sign for my MIL for her tea room in Newfoundland. She lives in Ontario and goes to her home town of bonavista, Newfoundland every summer to open her tea room till fall.. So i thought it would be nice if she had something to reminder of it all year long.

Photos were taken with my cell phone since I cant find the cable for my camera. so not the best quality

I wanted it to resemble the sign she has hanging outside the building as much as possible but with my own twist on it

Flavoured blend Teas

Newfoundland Specialties

Before distressing and borders

It looks wonderful! You did an amazing job! Have you considered taking some brown glaze to it with a rag to give it a bit of a tea-stained look?

Looks great! The distressing was really well done, looks like it's been a well loved sign for years.

It's very pretty.  I love the color and the fact that the words and things are natural and unpainted.  Good work.

Thank You all for the great reviews! They are my new obsession LOL. Also I have thought of putting a layer of stain or varnish or something over them to give them a more antique worn look perhaps on my next project I will do a bit of experimenting Smiley
