hello summer! - stencilry is (I'm fairly sure) a collection of stencils people have sent in that they've made, so the person running the site might not realise that the image is from something else.  there's also a disclaimer on the site that says that they're only for personal use.

and I considered making the birds different sizes...  I actually tried throwing a smaller one in there and didn't like it as much.  but in some situations I'm sure it'd look great.  Smiley

At Hobby Lobby I found some sticky backed felt right by the regular felt. It is stiffer than regular felt and has a peel off backing. It was pretty inexpensive too- only .99 a sheet!

this is brilliant. really. i've been seeing so many pics of silhouettes and stenciling on walls lately and i've sooo been wanting to do it and sad because my renter status forbids is. thanks to you, i can have it all! yay! now i just have to pick a stencil...hrmmm

Amazing idea! I copied the exact same thing. Only I used left over scrapbook paper that I printed the silhouette onto then cut out and put up with poster putty. See:
