PirateColey: your dog is beautiful - makes me miss my dearly departed Pom.  I used to draw cartoons of him and his adventures.

I'm really excited about this one, I can't decide what to make until I see the pet.  I like that it's so wide open as to type of craft.

And I'm very excited to get a representation of my fat old kitty, her health is starting to slip and it will be wonderful to have a memento.

Thank you. She was a rescue and has become such an important member of our family that I couldn't imagine not having her around. I always had medium-sized dogs growing up... when my husband and i decided to get a dog we only had room for something small- and found our PomPom. I don't think I could go back to larger dogs. I love my pocket cuddler. Smiley

That is exactly why I am doing this swap too. Except my poor old kitty is skinny and not fat. I thought maybe I was being a little morbid, but now I feel better about it.

It is a nice thing to have really. I just lost one of my chihuahuas last week. I had a few months ago made a needle felted model of her and put some of her hair in it and it's helped me to have it along with photos.

I don't think this is morbid at all. When one of my cats passed, the vet took her paw print in some kind of plaster. When I miss her, I rub her print (like a worry stone?) I also have a friend that spins pet hair into yarn and people make all kinds of things for this very reason. Having something to touch/hold that reminds you of your pet can be so comforting.

I lost my beloved kitty in march.  I was so devastated when he died (he got run over by a car).  He's the whole reason I'm thinkin of doing this swap.  But I had him cremated and a plaster of his paw.  Now he sits in my craft room watching over me.  What's morbid, is I didn't tell my boyfriend I did it, so he thinks I burried him in the back yard.  But I just couldn't bear the thought of him rotting away in the ground and then moving and leaving him behind.  I think I will sign up for this swap now.  I would love some kind of picture or plushie to cuddle of my baby.

Oh! I need to start saving Eevee's fur so that I can have someone spin it for me. My family thinks it's disturbing, but I'd love to be able to craft something with her lovely fluff. Smiley
