Craft my pet swap (sign up 8/7/10-8/27/10, send out 9/27/10)

I'm hoping to pixelize and make a paper or clay mosaic...newish territory for me, but I think it could be awesome.  I'm going to experiment on my own cat when I have a chance.

I could do embroidery or mixed media depending on coloring even a kitschy shrine....I would love to get a plush of my cat Mar!

I can needlefelt, clay, maybe paint a little.... I have a really cool idea for a paper collagey type thing in my head but I dont know if it would work.

And I want everything.   I think to start, maybe a plushie or painting or sculpture.  But I really do want everything, even doodles and stuff, in different styles by different people.

What I do will depend a little on the pet I get... I can sew and do a lot of plushies, so that's a big option. But I also do ceramics. I love doing animals, but it all depends on what molds I can get my hands on. I also do papercrafting, so I might be able to come up with something that way.

I'm definitely signing up. Hopefully will have time tomorrow. I've been looking around for things to help people out for my dog... There is a plush Pom pattern available at Jo Anns... and I've found a free Pom crochet pattern online... Actually, part of the reason I'm learning to crochet is that pattern, but I'm nowhere near good enough yet.

I plan on either sewing some sort of plush or needlefelting for my partner. I think all the different possible mediums is one of the neatest things, I am excited to see all the different ways people express the pets.

I would love to do this to get a Plush of my baby Tucker, but I never made an animal of other person. I could give it a try.

I'm really excited for this--I've painted pets for other people before but I can do other mediums as well. I've been on Craftster for a while, but just recently started posting some of my own stuff so I checked the rules and I'm pretty sure I can join--hopefully I'm right.

I'm really looking forward to this swap   We just got our cat in Jan, and it never occurred to me to craft a replica of her!  I've already been pondering things that I'd like to try myself... hopefully some of the ideas will translate into something my partner will like!
