I tried the recipe today and failed miserably  Cry I'm not much of a baker so it's really not that great of a shock, haha.  I wound up with a couple of flat "loaves", but hey, my house smells wonderful!!  Cheesy  Any ideas on where I may have gone wrong?

My loaves weren't very tall. About 3 inches at most in the middle and less on the edges. I think trying it in the pan might help.
Also I was told if my water wasn't hot enough or my yeast old(it was) then it might not rise properly.

I'm prepping some dough right now! Glad I looked at the recipe tonight, I want it for dinner tomorrow! The boyfriend thinks it's amazing when I bring him like, casserole for dinner (so easy to please, this one!) so I'm pretty sure homemade bread will blow his mind!

MissingWillow--did you also make that mustard vinagrette? Do you have a recipe to share? That entire platter looks so good! Grin

Thanks, MareMare!  Everything on that platter is from our farm.  Heirloom tomatoes, greenhouse cucumber, goat cheese and genovese basil.  The vinegarette is simple, but I never measure so I'm going to estimate amounts.  I just wisk together 3 ingredients:
1 Tbsp. of dijon mustard
3 Tbsp. of either red wine or sherry vinegar (sherry vinegarette is amazing with a spinach and blue cheese salad)
4 Tbsp. of extra virgin olive oil

I don't dress the salad until I'm just ready to serve it to assure it's freshly wisked and creamy.  If you let this dressing sit, the olive oil will start to separate from the emulsion.

I'm making this right now and the dough is rising at room temperature but my bowl seems to be to small ... can I take a part of the dough and move it into another bowl or is it crucial to let it sit?
