A couple of months ago I fell in love with this project: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=350203.0.

And I thought I could really use one of those hats, because the winter has been awfully cold, and my ears would really be happy. So I planned for two weeks, because I also wanted to use cabled diamonds, but first I had to learn how to make them...

And this is the result. I finished it four weeks ago, but I started wearing it immediately, so I didn't take any picture until today.

It covers my head perfectly, and it's really warm. And I can even tie my rebel hair with the tails.

I used little amigurumi balls to cover the braided tails,  and it looks perfect!

This is the first time I'm completely happy with a hat I made.  In fact, I fell in love with it too Cheesy

Love this hat! I wish I'd seen this sooner and would've gotten some inspiration for my hat in the Make Me a Hat Swap.

I love it! And the little balls are a nice alternative to pom-poms!

That is adorable. Hats with ear flaps have always intimidated me, but I think this has inspired me to finally give it a go! Just in time, too, because it's going to be fall here soon so I'm going to need to swap out my summer hat to something warmer!
