I'm getting excited for Round 2! I need to add to this wall of mine. One hoop just isn't enough.

Check out this article for some inspiration on how to easily add to your hoopla wall... http://www.desiretoinspire.net/blog/2009/8/9/flickr-finds-embroidery-hoops.html. I hadn't really thought of just framing the fabric but I think it looks cool and would make good filler while I wait for more embroidered hoops to arrive Smiley.

Here's more info on the same idea from The Purl Bee... http://www.purlbee.com/swatch-portraits/.

I'm already working on a hoop to add to my wall with a few more in mind. The first is a xstitch piece that says 'be awesome'. Next I found that Natalie Dee has some great pieces (husband wants http://www.nataliedee.com/072410/85-dollars-worth-of-socks.jpg first, but wants it in the living room, so maybe I'll have two hoop walls?!).

I love embroidery/cross-stitch so much because they're low-cost crafts that go a long way.

Note for partners: I have gauged ears, so classic earrings don't really work for me. Smiley

I like those ideas, LimeRiot!   It would be a neat way to display vintage fabrics, or hankies, or scarves... in a temporary way.  Although I'm not sure if a permanent crease would be left on the fabrics or not.... ?  But I still want to try this out, too!

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.

Thank you all for being such awesome hoopers and thank you luckdragon for being such a great co-organizer!! My head would have exploded without you Smiley.

yes, thank you guys for organizing this swap.  i have a fantastic hoop to start my hoopla wall. And this swap has inspired me to do more embroidery.  Im also in the process of trying to cross stitch now too because of this swap!

-I give up on making TOL pendants.  If anyone would like to have my stone chips, wire and ect.  I would gladly trade it all for some knitting/crochet stuff.

-Currently crafting.....A Weasley blanket.  I'd love some squares made from fellow Craftsters.
