Spock seed bead art? That is not logical.

Stats:
Even count peyote technique, 78 beads wide.
Colors used were black, black diamond (translucent black), medium gray, silver-lined white matte, and crystal.
Stringing material, gray 11 lb. test Fireline. Size 15 needles.
Finished size is about 5" long by 4" wide.
It's mounted on a dowel rod that I colored black with a Sharpie and a wire hanger.

To grid the image, I converted it to grayscale, then reduced the number of shades to 5, then printed it right on top of a peyote stitch grid. I use GIMP for image manipulation, it's a great shareware product similar to Photoshop. I still had to make a lot of judgement calls while beading, since many blocks on the grid were part one color, part another.

Tip: Use some extra peyote grid and cut along one row to make a saw-tooth guide, tape it to your pattern, and move it as you bead. With this many rows and such large areas of one color it was hard to keep track of where I was.
