This ones for my brother who loves all things octopus/kraken and steampunk. It was not only my first try with a ironing transfer pen but also my first fabric painting project in *ages* and it proved to be a bit more tricky than I actually thought. The design was whipped together by me, using various sources from the web and tons of time and pencil.

The coloring was done with violet silkscreen paint which I toned a bit down and a golden contrast gel which is usually used for silkscreen as well but also works fine on cotton. The border was done with an ordinary black fabric marker with a 3 milimeter tip. The design is placed on the back of the shirt, it looked kinda weird on the front. You can find the complete "making of" here: http://bohemiancrafting.blogspot.com/2010/08/octopus-steampunk-shirt-all-done.html
