I have 2 of my husbands Army ACU's (uniforms) that I can do whatever I want with. Can't give them away or sell them because they're faded and can't give them to homeless because they're an issued item.

But I CAN cut them up and use them! So, Ideas? Smiley

Well... what do you want? Wink Do you want to convert them into clothes? If so, for who? Yourself? Your child? If not clothes, how about bags, or pillows? I've got a link to a tute somewhere around here for turning a pair of pants into a laundry bag.

There's also a What can I do with THIS? forum under the Reusing/Recycling category. They might have more ideas. Smiley

Good luck!

I think you can make some great backpacks or bookbags, and give them to kids you know.

I would use some of the fabric for the backing of a shadow box and put his ribbions, patches and metals on it. That's what I'm going to do with my husbands cammies and mine.

I made a purse out of my bf's old BDU's. I loved it. It was one of the first things I ever made on my sewing machine.

I see a lot of ladies around post with ACU purses. Here's a link to one on ebay for $40. You could make it and it'd be free Smiley

I've been meaning to get around to making a new backpack myself. You could buy a cheap one and take it apart, or trace it off. I want one that's not too big, but still has good organizing . Like a place for a water bottle
on the outside.

Well, I'm thinking about putting my son in daycare so I'd make a kids backpack.

Hmmm.
