This past weekend a bunch of friends and I went to the Midsummer Magick Faerie Faire. My girlfriend realized most of her faerie clothes had disappeared; so.... I decided to make her a two layer, double color circle skirt. There's a whole 8 yards of fabric that I put into this skirt. It's completely hand sewn and is on a drawstring because I didn't have her measurements with me and didn't have enough time to go get them and still have the skirt done in time.

Funny story about the fabric that I ended up choosing. It's a really comfortable almost tee-shirt material made out of 100% polyester. I originally fell in love with this type of fabric at a discount fabric store, but when I went back, there wasn't any in the colors that I wanted for the skirt, so I was forced to head over to Joann's, where I discover that the fabric is usually $12.99 a yard!! I'd gotten it originally for $1.99! Thankfully I found two beautiful colors that went together wonderfully, and all the fabrics in that section were 50% off. Phew..

Without further ado, the prettiest faeling at the faire:

This one shows the color of the underskirt:

Thanks guys! I was soo worried about it the whole time I was making it until she put it on and proclaimed she loved it. She then promptly wore it for two days. *beams* I love my girl.
