Here's my hobo Smiley It's bit different tho, because I made it by hand, not sewing machine Smiley

Okay, I need some help here...

First, can you do this purse without the extra strips around the zipper, as in sew the zipper directly to the exterior and lining? (similiar to this:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=22875.0)

If the answer to the above is no, that could be the root of my problem.

So far, I have the zipper sewn to all four pieces (2 exterior, 2 lining).  I'm at the point where I sew the exterior pieces together and sew the lining pieces together, but I can't figure out how to do it with the little "tips" left at the top of each piece.  Was I supposed to sew the zipper up around the curve (instead of just on the straight part)?

Anybody out there to help?

Well boys and girls,
I made a pattern of the bag, so I thought that I would share! It's a bit smaller than tinafish's but it fits on a 81/2X11 piece of paper! There's only the bag on it, you can figure out how to make the rest, pretty easy. Enjoy!

I made a sequin gold hobo bag. My only flaw, the fabric is stretchy so I have to redo the strap. I'm going to purchase a canvas web strap, cover it with the stretchy gold fabric and sew it back on. I will post a pic when finished.

Again thanks for the tut!! I see more hobo bags in my future.
