Painting a base-board heater

I reeeeaaaally want to re-do our upstairs bathroom and one of the things that needs to be done is to paint the base-board heater. Do I need to use a special type of paint for this? I ask because I worry about heat and paint being a bad mix, but I have nothing to base it on - am I worrying over nothing?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Just noticed that my neighbors di this recently and I was blown away how good it looked!  Homw Depot sells heat-resistant paint which I guess is for BBQs and such.  Looks great in matte black and I can't wait to try it myself!
