*big hug*

I know where you are coming from.. Life seems to have a knack for layering everything on top of eachother, not got kids but been made redundant in 2008 while my bf is in full time uni, i'm in part time uni, both changing our careers 180 degrees. And in a difficult financial situation like that it seems to just situation to add on and add on.

Being ex military myself.. and I was considered old when i joined.. Dont let them assume for you.. Make the first step to make friends as I learned that people have so many assumptions that usually can be set right in a few casual conversations.. then usually it will spread.. bases are worse then little village for gossip.

Take your time on the pattern, i'm sure its gonna look awesome Smiley at least at the end you know you achieved something.. the fact you can crochet... is mindblowing to me Cheesy

I'm back with photos!! Two days later....  Wink

First up: Felt Christmas ornaments straight from my wist! Troublet, your stitching is so perfect. I wanted to make some more of them for my tree but i'm afraid that mine will look awful next to yours!  Cheesy

Pretty headband. I took a photo of me wearing it but my hair looks awful so you don't get to see the action shot.

My very own Harry Potter! I will be taking him to the movie in November. He even has his own spell book! So cute.

Close up!

As much as I love absolutely everything I received, this is my favourite. A mini Gryffindor scarf, modeled by a Willow Tree ornament. I'm sure that it's supposed to be for Harry, but I think i'm going to turn it into a keyring or something so I can have it with me always!  Cheesy

THANK YOU so much Troublet. You have made my birthday so special this year. I will most definitely be signing up again, hopefully when your birthday comes around.

Becka...do try making felt ornaments! Once you do, you'll become addicted. Felt is very easy, inexpensive and forgiving if you make a flub. Smiley

I'm so glad you like your package! Cheesy

Sooo glad you like them.. Like I said the Guinness inspired item wasn't going to be an apron.. but it just clicked in my mind afterwards.. That tree took me quite some time cutting out.. I had to be careful not to accidently cut off any branches..

and yay for postie getting it there so fast even with a bank holiday here in the UK and one in the US Cheesy

Oh and I forgot to give a super big thank you for all of the chocolate too!!!  I was cradling them in my hands (because they were liquefied at the time) running to the fridge while dancing and and singing "I got UK chooooooocolate!" over and over  Cheesy  DH just laughed and said "cool!"

Woo Hooo.. I received from Sandra22.. And it is an awesome package!!

First the pincushion she claimed me for and a needlebook. I can use both as i usually either hold pins in my mouth and put needles in my jeans which sometimes leads to some yelps when they strike skin.. lol

Second somethign i really need to learn: amigurumi octopus!! It now has a permanent place on the corner of my monitor.. and yes my walls in my craft room are bright lime green Cheesy

And an amazing extra that I am thinking of using on a project already.. skull and star studs!!
and you can see the nice purple tissue paper it was all wrapped in!

Thnak you so much Sandra! Everything is awesome.. Your thank you will be on its way soon!
