Beautiful shawl and cute doggie!!

I was hoping for a pit stop in NJ on my visit to see my niece.  Unfortunately we ran out of time.  Anyhow my cute little niece is quite a boobster and I've decided to make her a boob hat!  Smiley  I'll post pics when I do.

Also finished up baby Z's cupcake hat!  Smiley

Happy crafting all!

shelina, that little doggie is so cute!  I really love the print on her Smiley  I've been making progress on your button piece, dug out quite a few orange buttons from the 5 boxes I took to work to sort today.  Shouldn't be long now!

I've been working my sewing mojo all weekend now that my machine is working again!  I finished up the project that I was in the middle of when it broke, so I was finally able to put these baby fabric blocks up in my shop.  This is my first attempt and I think they're cute - plus great for stash busting.  Smiley

happy (Huh) birthday, lo[ve]! I'm glad you're out of the hospital; so sorry you were there. At least you got to sleep through it. I hope this doesn't interfere with your plans to move to California at the end of the month.

Very cute fabric blocks, crumpet! and I love the pattern for that dog, shelina; someone's going to find him and adore him!

atsuko - boob hat?!?  Cheesy I've seen the boob scarf and various boob cakes, but never a hat. You must post a picture when it's finished.

Nice work on the shawl, lxm! I've gotta post a photo of mine one of these days.

Hooray for cinnamon teal returning! The last I heard (and this was a very long time ago), the organizers said no to "US only" offerings in shops.

thanks guys!
The yarn that I spun for the shawl was dyed by the amazing dicentra

any of you spinners out there who are looking for a treat should try her stuff out. The BFL spins like a dream and the color-ways are all flawless, luminous and amazing.
after I finished the shawl I went directly to my LYS and bought more (now i have 2 in backup...and another drawer started for fiber-things.)

here is some fiber-porn:

I finished spinning freestyle's wool and it is drying as we speak. It was also a joy to spin, and I think i produced some of my most balanced yarn to date. thanks freestyle!

Happy birthday Lo{ve}, glad you are feeling better!

I went out to pick up raw fleeces from the farm yesterday, unfortunately the ram with my favorite dark brown fleece died last winter after being harassed by the neighbor's dogs.  I did get to meet the new young ram and show the nice farm lady how to make felt. Am thinking of trying some felting with raw fleece, this blog has some cool pictures of fleeces felted in the raw: http://elisvermeulen.wordpress.com/2010/03/22/working-on-a-raw-fleece/

Finished the last math homework (yay!), acquired costume homework instead. I still have a week of math lectures to watch and a final next week. I have been debating whether to make anything for the handweavers guild craft sale, which is the first week of November, since I really am trying to move. Since I think I'll have at least three months notice on the possibility of moving, and the sale being the first week of November, I may order some scarf blanks to dye for the sale.  So, while I've got the indigo vat fermenting and the shibori poles out in the next month or so, let me know if anyone has interest in custom dyed silk scarves (or cotton/rayon scarves).

Happy Birthday Lo{ve}!

I am fine with keeping a few, heavy items as domestic sends only in a shop but the majority of your items should be available to everyone everywhere Smiley

Does anyone have pattern weights like these they would like to list?  I REALLY want a set so I don't have to use weighted boxes and stuff.  I generally don't use pins on my fabrics so I don't have holes.  Some of the stuff I work with is really thick or for gauzes I don't want to rip them.

Or....can someone that does resin make me a set like these, maybe with butterflies, fish and other sealife, or maybe sewing notions like pins/safety pins/etc.  sarahj, maybe you would like to take me up on this?  I might be able to find some doo-dads to mail you to cast in resin for these.  That paperweight I got from you TOTALLY came to mind when I found this:

PM me if you can help me out Smiley
