This is my first official Craftster posting so I can't post pics just yet, only the links...hopefully I get this right!

Our daughter has tons of cousins so last year I decided to start sewing for them.  This was my first attempt at sewing from drawings, I had seen the idea all over the Internet and thought it would be a blast to try it out!

His little brother also did a self portrait of him swimming

Thanks, it was a blast. I don't have any specific tips, all I basically did was enlarge the pics on my computer and trace them to make a pattern.  The drawing were really simple so that made it much easier Smiley. I made the arms/legs with fabric covered pipe cleaners so they are bendable.  Also, the blond hair is yellow felt covered pipe cleaners.  I really want to practice making dolls and animals so I can tackle the older kids detailed drawings.  Have fun with it!
