I can't believe I have not been getting notices for the gallery.....

I finished up 1 parcel today after doing a sewathon day.
I started at 8am this morning and I am still going at 7.30pm tonight......

3-4 hours just to take up some suit pants and the sleeves of the jacket.......the jacket took almost an hour per sleeve.
I swear I think it would have been easier to make a whole new jacket.....well maybe not but you know what I mean.
still I only paid $2 for the suit and it is brand new and a really good quality English brand....
off to finish up my laptop sleeve.

I just use the that Tulip Soft Fabric paint.  I don't know how to do silk screening yet so I just stick with the freezer paper.  I always end up with a million little pieces to iron on.  I just number them all and then have a copy of the pattern and number it on there so I know where to put them when I iron.

I got my package from pollyprissypants yesterday!  Sorry I didn't get the pictures up yesterday...I was beat (and have several black and blue marks now to prove it) and pretty much just went to bed after roller derby practice last night.

Anyways...here's the derby skirt she made me.  It really is straight..I just was posing weirdly.  I was going to take a picture at practice but they turned out weird and blurry so I just took one at home after.

She also gave me a couple extras...slippers (I love the yarn you made these with!) and really cute flowers.

Thanks so much!! Smiley

Awesome!
I'd love to do roller derby but I think hubby would have a fit if I did... He would think it would be too rough lol.

That skirt looks great on you! Like I said, sewing's not my usual, so I was totally stressing it! I'm glad you like it, and glad it doesn't get in the way of kneepads! Did you decide on a derby name yet?

No derby name yet. Sad  Still struggling with that...

Got my package from sarahj2001 on Wednesday or Thursday, but it's been a pretty ridiculous week and it's taken me this long to get a photo. And wow!

Exactly the thread catcher I wanted!

And the fabric is PERFECT! I mean literally, I sent a picture of this to my partner as an idea of something I like and she found the very same stuff! I will use the leftovers for something good too, thanks!

An "action" shot next to my sewing maching, that shows off the yummy handmade soap she sent as well- wow!

Thanks, sarahj2001! This was so thoughtful! I promise your package will be on its way soon!

That threadcatcher is amazingly cute. It's very Mary Engelbreitish (which is fantastic, btw, I LOVE M.E.!).
Here's my 'for me' pics. 'Scuse my mess, please, we're moving and in the process of packing. Also, please 'scuse my shadow! The soap is mid-cure, so it sucks packing it up!
Here's my soap I made with the chai. I'll cut and wrap it once it's been cured. Yes, for moving purposes it's being stored in an H-E-B bag.

This is that weird goat milk soap I was talking about. Crossing my fingers it comes out okay... it already smells less caustic than it did.

And I also made a set of four dishcloths (a shower present, along with some soap. Not shower, like bath, but shower as in wedding. And I only clarified because of the gift contents).

I have never used home made dish cloths.  I know, I know, it just sounds unreal!
