So, quite some time ago I saw a wonderful Dr. Who wall painting w/ different characters from Dr. Who on it on this board. My google fu has failed me in finding it again (please feel free to provide the link if you know what I am talking about) and it inspired me to do my own SciFi gallery of favourite characters. There is a picture below:

Top: Yoda, G'Kar (Babylon 5), Londo Mollari (Babylon 5)
Center: Spock & Kirk, The Doctor (Dr.Who), Lorne (Angel)
Botton: Dominar Rygel XVI (Farscape), Dream (Sandman Comic), & Jayne Cobb in his very fine hat.

I painted them w/ acrylic free hand. I'm not completely satisfied with them- but then who is ever completely satisfied w/ their work? My next project is going to be a wall of my favourite scifi women Smiley

Ooooh, I too have seen the original; I think it was here on Craftster. Have you tried the Dr Who swap galleries? (Not giving away my nerd status much...Cheesy)

I do like yours though, and despite the fact that they're all very different, due to them being from different shows, I think the monochrome effect pulls it all together. What is it painted on, and how long did it take you to do it?

I bought those flat canvases from Michaels and then used white and black acrylic paints. It was a very cheap project Smiley I started the Yoda and the Dream boards months ago until my fiance kicked my tookus into gear and I finished it over a few weekends in the evenings.

I know it probably sounds cheeky but your wall gave me chills and I got a little emotional.  Thank you for sharing your geek love, I seriously needed it!!

They're all wonderful! I especially like the B5 ones, my two favourite characters, and the Tardis one is striking. The monochrome is a great way to match lots of different sources.

Wow!!!   I am so jealous of your talent . . . My favorite is Dr. Who - I just love the light effects in that one.  Cheesy
