I decided the small was crap and gave it to the kids. I have been looking for a good free pattern for what I want with no luck. i did think of something as I was drifting off, then woke up thinking about crazy stuff. Some how my brain combined orange velvet and painting. As if black velvet paintings weren't tacky enough.

I got a supply for this swap in the mail today!!! Although, I really just got it for myself before this swap started and then realized how perfect it would be to use.

You know... if you use it all up - you could uh.. order some more for yourself :-) ~ hey - I shouldn't have to hoard supplies all by myself :-)

Ugh, I totally wasted my day off today.  I meant to go shopping for supplies today, but wound up leaving the house late and only had time to grocery shop!  Oh well, I got a good chunk done on a small item and I hope to pick up the slack on Sunday, gonna craft all day! Cheesy

I'm so glad that I did this swap - my step father-in-law gave my dd the Gnomes book (the big fancy compendium thing) and so that helped enormously when it came to get inspiration.

I have 3rd project failure.  Back to the craft store!  Must rethink my strategy in the crafting isles.

Its like it's own land, the Country of Crafting Isles.  I think its Fae, appropriate for this swap.  Okay, I am done amusing myself.

I'm having so much fun with this swap. I've gotten some small items out of the way and Monday and Tuesday I want to get the larger ones started. Me <3 gnomes XD

Also, I total lucked out with my partner so far. For one, I think we have nicely matched tastes. And secondly, even if neither of us posted much on the main page she really is good at keeping in touch with me. So kudos to Shadowbox.
