Gnomes and Mushrooms Swap CLOSED Mail by Sept 15th

ARGH!!  I'm gearing up, almost ready for my first swap (officially being a member for a month on Sunday, though I've lurked for... well, years.)... and there's so many good swaps starting up!!  I have so many cute ideas for this one... but but but... I can only sign up for one... woe is me!!

This weekend will be a weekend for tough decisions, haha.

I have a question about the point system. If we participate, do you just pick one of those point systems to use? And I understand the price but I don't think I understand the time, point or size.

On the time, is that time spend making item?

On points, do you put in one of each sized item to add up the points? How do you determine how big is large, medium and small? Do you use the same size categories as the size system?

And on size, again, is that one of each item? Isn't that the same as the point system?

well it gives you options.. if you purchase an item it's impossible to say how many hours it took to make it..so lets say you spent $15 on the item... that means it's a "medium" since medium is $10-30.. therefore you have taken care of 2 of the 5 pts you need your items to add up to.. and lets say you made an item that took you 3 hours or more to make.. that makes it a "large" and worth 3 pts.. so the item you purchased plus the item you made added up to 5 pts.  The scale I posted tells you what is a large based on purchased items amounts or the amount of time you spent making handmade item.  Size gives you an idea of what to make if you aren't sure of the amount of time it takes you (if you are like me and have to stop and start all the time).  If you made a shawl for example - that's a large and is worth 3 of the 5 pts that your package has to add up to.

I'm totally excited for this swap. I've been looking for a gnome swap for awhile. Then add mushrooms to it makes it perfect! It would be awesome if I get a gnome then soon after there is a roaming gnome swap.

I am so excited that there is so much interest in this swap! I was a little worried when I suggested on the New Swap Ideas board and only had a couple responses..I cannot WAIT to see what everyone comes up with :-)
