So I just got home from dropping this little beauty off with its new owner, and I should be out doing stuff in the yard or painting my bathroom...but I'm not!
This was for my very first personal swap and I'm pretty happy with how it came out. The outside is a cream brocade and the inside is lined with a bluish-green velveteen.

I cut a small size 6 (which is as small as the pattern goes) because my swap partner has a teeny tiny itty bitty waist!

Used extra large hook and eyes on the front, think I will use these again on future corsets they look very nice, and are pretty sturdy!

Side view

My dressform is cinched down to its smallest waist measurement and this is still a fairly large gap!

inside lining

this is just here because I thought it looked cool!

This waist cincher is the fourth I have made from this pattern (McCalls 4861) and so far I think it has come out the best!

C & C always welcome!

beautiful work! I have a corset kit at home- I've had it for over a year and it's still in the envelope it was shipped in! I'm excited about making one now too, only my waist is, ahem, several sizes larger.  Roll Eyes  Wink

I love the fabrics you chose, they're very elegant. Thanks for sharing!

This is so beautiful! You did a great job and I bet she's gonna love it! I am surprised McCall's makes a pattern for this but I'm definitely going to give it a shot.  Cheesy
