Once a hard-working pair of cowgirl jeans, this denim needed a new job.  A new life.  Or, how 'bout an afterlife of undeadness?

Another messenger bag!  It's made from the above-mentioned jeans, and has a reclaimed zipper on the interior pocket.  I did use new black cotton fabric for the lining, as that's all I had on hand.  It has an adjustable strap, and some big pockets on the inside, too.

But this time, I added a freezer paper stencil of Nosferatu, the original vampire....

So I know one eye looks a bit wonky, and I probably should have adjusted it.  But it's how it looks in the photos of the vampire, so I left it.   Undecided

I made this bag for a swap, and my partner likes all-black bags.  So I accommodated this wish... mostly.  I had to include this little secret surprise:  Wink

If you're interested in Nosferatu (a groundbreaking, very creepy silent German film), then please drop by my blog for links and info (blog link in my signature.)
Thank you for looking!  C&C + questions are always welcome!  Smiley

That is so awesome! And Nosferatu is definitely creepy. I remember the first time I watched the film, the Hubbs came through the living room, looked at the TV, and then at me, and said, "What on earth is this?"
  "It's Nosferatu."
  "They're not talking."
"Just go back to your computer."
He's cute, but silent films are definitely not for him. I love the bag!

Definitely cool bag!  Did you bleach out the vampire face?  It's such a cool look - all black with the stark white and then that little splash of red (which also fits the vampire theme - blood and all that jazz!).  Love what you did with this.  Great work!

Thanks!  No bleach -- just acrylic paint, then heat-set.  I have yet to try bleaching... it seems intimidating and unpredictable!  Wink

This bag is great. Nosferatu is the only vampire movie that I'll watch.

Nosferatu scares the hell out of me!!! Not a 'pretty boy' vampire movie for sure! I love your work on this & the red lining of the pocket is epic!  Wink
