Hot pink flowery Purse

First note - Craigslist FTW! 
My aunt called me up a few days ago and told me she had some scrap fabric that I might like... "Some" was more like "An entire TRUCK full" of fabric. This was heaven on earth for me! golly gee, there were piles upon piles up to the ceiling of left over fabric. And She got for -get this- FREE on craigslist. And what I saw wasn't even half of it. She stuffed her van full, and still has to make another trip to pick the rest up! Anyways, I pulled out a small stack of fabric, and immediately went home to make this purse. I owe a friend a purse, and i thought this fabric would suit her perfectly. Too bright and girly for me anyways. 

alright, i'll just get on to a few photos and stop rambling about my excitement in all this free fabric.





By happy accident the flowers on the straps line up almost perfectly!


IT was a pretty easy sew, I did it all - cutting, measuring, sewing and ironing- in about 2 1/2 hours. II made a few purses like this before ( http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=254005.0 ) and I've pretty much got the hang of it. no patterns, just eyeballing it.

And as always, I'd really love to hear some feedback, and definitely critiques.  Thanks for taking a peek at my new purse.

I made a little matching coin purse today. I think it's so cute! I still have troubles with zippers, but I think this one worked out nicely.


I noticed the color is a little washed out in these photos, the hot pink is REALLY bright.
