I got word that my partner in the Multi-Themed Steampunk Swap recieved today and loved her! So I'm safe to post now ^_~
I had a lot of fun making this one. I nearly didn't let her leave! I gathered most of the material from what I had in stash and just ran with what I thought I might wear if going on a steamship. I'm not a frilly girl so leather and a little pattern works for me!

A little backstory on idea
She is a doll of sorts who was once to help around the house. She and her sisters used to clean, tend to things as well as cook and entertain. As she was one of the last her creator made, her hands are still the temporary ones given to her. Her creator never got the chance to attach her permanent hands.  She has long ago forgotten her name and is hoping her new home will bring her a new name.

Thanks for looking!

Ekioart, she's adorable! How did I miss that you'd sent already? I love her outfit, and her hair, and her ears too.

Audania1- PM Ghillie for the original poppet pattern, with an active email address. Craftewoman has posted the modified Eleanore pattern (with boobies) in the Toys, Dolls, and Playthings board.

Ok so she is so cute. I love her hair. I am making a poppet for a swap but after seeing this one I am nervous to send it out. Hope she thinks she looks as cute as yours does.

Don't be nervous, I'm sure she'll be adorable!

I don't think I can ever go back to making wafts of hair again, I stitched each hair to her head one by one and it was so much easier on me. Plus I had more control as far as hair lines went. She could part, pull up and style this lots of ways and not see a bald spot And it's not even a full skein of yarn!

She so pretty. How did you make her spats? Did you have a pattern or free hand it?
