*Disclaimer: I didn't see a place to post this so sorry if its in the wrong spot*

I am a preschool teacher and for Earth Day (I know it was a while ago) we made recycled crayons to look like the earth. We peeled and peeled....and peeled paper off the old crayons, threw some green ones, blue ones, and a tiny bit of white ones in the muffin tin and melted them down.  And here are the Jungle Rooms Earth Day crayons

And a close up of two of the crayons next to a picture of the real earth

I thought they turned out really cool even though some of the parents were like, "oh, a crayon" Whatever, the kids had fun and we all learned something. ("If paper is made out of trees, why don't we just make new trees out of paper?")
We also did this with lots of other colors too but the Earths were by far my favorite

Oooo, those turned out really nicely. Was there any special way you made the effect like that? Or was it just bits of all the colors and when they melted they happened to do that? because they look so perfect! Just like the Earth. Tongue

Love those! Is that a really big pan or is it a mini-muffin pan?

The crayons turned out adorable. And although I don't use crayons anymore  Wink, I think they'd look really nice set in resin.
