That looks like some awesome stuff haroldlovesmaude! How did your first screenprinting experience go? I've been meaning to try it for some time.

By the way, I'm curious as well as to the strips of canvas. Where can one find such canvas?

The shirt is so cool, I'm afraid to wear it and mess it up. Should I turn it inside out to wash it?

The canvas was cut from a roll and then had gesso applied to it. You can buy rollls of canvas from Michaels (in the fine arts section) or a fine arts shop for about fifty dollars (will last you a long time). Gesso is applied to the canvas to make the surface ready for paint. I got a gallon for $20 at an artist supply store.

 As for the screenprinting, I used a kit I got about three years ago. I never used it because I never made anything I wanted multiples of so I would just stencil. But it's so much easier this way if you have a lot of bridges. I did the freezer paper method for the first layer on the tshirt and the drawing fluid method on the top layer and the canvas print. The only trouble I had was that i had to use a LOT of paint and had to press down really hard for it to show up well. I guess regular acrylics don't work as well as screenprinting inks. :/

And yep, you should probably turn it inside out to wash it. The paint is stiff bit should become soft after one wash through the washing machine. You don't need to wash it separately; the paint shouldn't leak or seep onto other things.

I got the BIGGEST BOX EVAR from nmcakemom07! It was so exciting!  HUGE!

First up is a pop-art collage on canvas!



Some of the things it says on the white strips:

"What's the point of wearing your favorite rocketship underpants if nobody ever asks to see 'em?"

"Do you really think Bogeymen exist? I'm not sure, but if they do, I think this is where they live..."

Hehehehe!   Hubby is asking me if he can take it to his office, which he decorates in all sorts of cool video game and manga stuff. 

His request is under consideration.   


Next up is my VERY OWN BOMB OF CHOCOLATE FROSTED SUGAR BOMBS!  ETCHED!  Oh that's right.   Gosh darn it though, it was really hard to get the etching to show up on camera! I did my best, here...

These are going IN MY BELLY and then I'll use the bomb in my kitchen! Man, it's really sturdy and beautiful! Thank you, nmcakemom07!

Then there was the glasswork pendants!! She sent me THREE! These extras are pretty, thank you! wow!



Then there are two felt and paint and embroidery plushies/fascinators!



And this beadwork is SO intricate! Look at that!  Spaceman Spiff ahoy!   (Also the third glass pendant! )



A Spaceman Spiff eye-cover (facemask? what are these called I can't remember, lol!) for sleeping! I've been needing one of these!



Some pretty flower fascinators/hair clips! She's getting into Millinery work! Awesome! (and some Autism Awareness bands.  Everyone needs some of these!)



A picture of almost everything: note the extra in the upper left corner, a fun measuring tape! also the silk-covered box on the right, very pretty! 


And last but not least, a pretty double-thick fleece blanket/Throw, so I can cuddle up with hobbes and calvin! <3
