I found my switch plate lying around my room from when we painted (a year and a half ago Tongue) and decided to paint it before I put it back up. I'm on a bit of a TARDIS crafting kick right now.

And an action shot. The spot where my light switch actually is happens to be rather badly lit, and I didn't take into account the fact that it might clash rather badly with my bright orange walls... but I still think I have the best switch plate in town.

Started it a couple days ago, been working on it whenever I had a moment. Acrylic and sharpie. I wouldn't recommend the sharpie, it smeared a bit when I added the varnish on top, but I don't have a very steady painting hand. Something I need to work on. There's a few imperfections, but overall I'm quite happy with it.

Ack! My husband's computer room and our guest bathroom are DW themed, but neither of us thought of painting the switchplates! Looks great. Smiley

Who CARES if it clashes with your walls?! That's what the TARDIS does best, isn't it? Sticks out like a sore thumb, but still manages to look right just about anywhere.
I love. This is an awesome idea! <3

I'll tell you a tale of the bottomless blue
And it's hey to the starboard, heave ho
Look out, lad, a mermaid be waiting for you
In mysterious fathoms below

Great point, Lady Mearle! There you go, I did it on purpose.  Roll Eyes

Glad everybody likes it. It was so super fun to make. Like I said, I'm on a total TARDIS crafting kick, so expect more in the near future.
