This corset/skirt combo was made from 3 old pairs of jeans and some old lace...

It was originally a mock-up corset since you aren't supposed to use denim for corsets but I liked the way it looked so I kept going and ended up with this...

When it was still a mock-up I made just to get the fit for the real thing right...

I do wish I had put in more grommets

I liked it so I played around with some appliques I had....

I loved it so added 22 spiral bones and ended up with this

Then I had nothing to go with it so made this somewhat gibbous? inspired skirt....

Trying out this idea i've had with a completely exposed zipper...i'm happy with it

and finally, my cat decided to join in on the fun  Cheesy

So what do you think'? worth keeping the mock up?  now I still have to make the real 3 layer corset out of proper fabric  Grin

comments and questions welcome!

The corset is so beautiful! I love the lace that floats near the neck...
And with the skirt?
Gorgeous!

this is fantastic! It's different and classy (despite being made from jeans, which is unexpected) and i'd imagine comfortable if the jeans you used were a bit stretchy Smiley

"since you aren't supposed to use denim for corsets"

Forget what you aren't supposed to do... That is gorgeous!

I love the denim and white lace together.

1) KITTY! (yes, I have a kitty fetish. Grin I do not deny.)

2) That corset is flippin gorgeous! I probably wouldn't be able to make anything like that before I die. Lol. The lace goes perfectly! I love it.
