Advent Calendar swap 2010 - send out extended to- 11/11

I hope this years advent calendar swap is OK. I love advent calendars, I love christmas and I can't wait for this.

I have officially started sourcing stuff for this one!  I pinched a couple of bits and pieces from a gala day today, I swung by Poundland and ordered _____ from Ebay last night and I've not even spent £3 yet!  I think that's good going.

I can't wait to get partnered up...and I'll def post pics in the gallery!

Ok so I am really excited about this swap and as a result I have already finished my advent calendar.  I have been working on it all week...I just couldn't help myself.  Now I have to make one for myself because it turned out so cool

I'm sitting on the fence with this one. I really want to sign up... plus there are some UK people already signed up, which is really tempting me, but I don't know if I have time!

I loved advent calendars as a kid, and I still love the idea of having something special to look forward to every day (it's like 25 birthdays in a row!) but I'm not Christian and don't really celebrate Christmas (my mom is Catholic, so I had traditional Christmases growing up)...  I wonder if there are any other non-Christian crafters who would want to sign up and do a non-religious advent calendar...

And I want to finish crafting for at least 3 of the 4 swaps I'm signed up for right now before I sign up for another...

Well, we'll see if there are still spots left when I get my other crafting done!

I wouldn't mind doing a winter holiday advent calendar. But would we stop at 25? or do all the days of December? I am pretty flexible either way LOL I love the holidays.

I really want to sign up for this!!  I am so busy though, I told myself I have to get my calendar design finished before I can sign up.  I really hope I can.

I just had an idea about the gallery - could we do something similer to what they do on another swap that I've seen (I think it was the 12days of christmas or halloween swap) and each person just post all the pictures in one post (they could reserve this at the start of the swap) - they keep editing it to add stuff in. Then there could be a link to each persons mini gallery eg. post on the first post of the gallery. That might work a little bit better, although you then don't get so much of a chance to comment directly on a post ... all the comments could be after the galleries. Just a suggestion if that might work a bit better?

I think that sounds quite a good idea. 

I get that it'd make it harder to comment directly but I think it'd make sure people where more likely to post their pics and it'd be easier to see who sent what.
