I was looking for images of owls for the IYP16 swap. I found a really cute little owl and decided I had to redraw him to use with my Cricut. I cut him out and attached him to a card. He turned out so cute that I wanted to use him again. I figured since he inspired me, I would make a sign to hang in my new craft room.

I painted artist board black. I then used blue and copper metallic paint for the swirls. Then I cut out my owl, lettering and moon and stars and glued them down. Then hot glued the buttons. I finally put a couple coats of Mod Podge over it all and sprinkled glitter in a few spots to give it an extra dimension.

I love him!! C/C welcome!

Wow!  I really like this !  The buttons add a great dimension to the piece, too.
