My 2 yr old started potty training this past week and I didn't want to repeat the "oh no!" car seat/stroller incidents I had with my older daughter.  I made this seat protector that fits strollers and car seats without interfering with the straps!

It doesn't take much fabric or time and you have the option to make it reversible or fitted.

You can download the pattern here:  http://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B68-aaexv1BKMmM1YWQyNTQtZWMzZC00ZGRiLWFkMjUtMmEyOTVjZTgzNmFj&sort=name&layout=list&num=50

And the instructions are in pdf form here:  http://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B68-aaexv1BKZTE0MDNhYjgtMGZlNS00MGQyLTllYmEtNDczZDI2M2NlNjQ3&sort=name&layout=list&num=50

Take 20 minutes to make one of these and save yourself some cleaning headaches!

I'm soooo happy to see this! I'm trying to convince my 2 1/2-year-old son that potty training is the hip new thing and this would be lifesaver I'm sure. Now, if I can only convince him it is not the end of the world to stop playing for a few minutes to use a potty.....

WOW!  What a great idea!  You'd think 8 kids later, I would have thought of something like this, but noooo... I kept washing car seats, or using bulky towels.   Roll Eyes  Thank you SO much for sharing... my littlest guy is going to potty train this summer, so I will definitely be making this!!!

Pure genius! I will definitely be trying this out! After the accident we had that went through the holes in the carseat which lead me to clean the actual seat in the car, I definitely need this! Thank you so much for sharing your pattern!

Thanks for the tutorial!  I know it's been awhile since you originally posted it but it was very useful.   Here's a pic of the one I made.   I also made 4 others for friends and family.  Love these things!
