I didn't know which board to post this on, so i hope it's ok here Smiley  I made it for the BSG swap and my partner has received so i can post it here Cheesy

I've never sewn a bag before, so i just got some thick black material and winged a pattern.  I'm very proud of how the bag itself turned out!

THe bag needed BSG-ing and i chose to base it on this painting by Starbuck:

The bag itself, it's quite large, i'd say just over 2 ft wide

I'm proud of my seams

Esp the inside ones, that i managed to make so neat.

So as i can crochet i decided this would be my "paint".  I made long (and i mean LONG) strips of crochet in different colours, then sewed them together in a spiral.  Very time consuming, but i think worth it in the end!

Detail of the strips

The design in the centre

The bag as a whole

Sorry for the picture overload, i'm just v proud of it Cheesy

You did such a great job on this bag, zombiecakeses! The bag itself looks so well made and you know I love the BSG reference Wink.
