I just ordered a bunch of new cake pans and accessories and couldn't wait to play with them, so I made a "just because" cake. It's the first time I have fully covered a cake in fondant and done more than one tier. It's a bit bumpy and crooked, but I learned some lessons on the way, and it's just for me anyways, so it doesn't matter Grin I share a birthday with my son, so I never get my own cake either. I'm in a house full of boys, so I made this one a bit girly. Smiley Criticism welcome!

Thanks for looking!

That looks fantastic.  I love the strawberries.

Did you support the top tier at all or just set it on top of the bottom one?

This is so cute. I just love the colors together. You did a great job with the fondant especially for your first covered tiered cake.

Thank you everyone Smiley I keep going back and looking at the pics cause I loved the cake too.

I did, I used straws put through the bottom layer. I didn't have a little cake board though for between the layers,so I used a piece of cardboard from the cake mix and covered it in plastic wrap. I think that's why the top tier looks a little crooked LOL
