i was wondering if anyone had knitted a blanket...all the nifty afghan patterns are never for knitting...and i have yet to conquet the hook (quite frankly it scares me...i guess i'm just comfortable with knitting and hesitant to learn something new)

if you have made a blanket or two i would love to know how you did it and how long it took...plus if you have a picture that would be super!  i'm also having a hard time choosing a color pattern for the darn thing...but i'm dying to get started!!!

thanks!

I just finished throws for Mother's Day...I used the idea in Yarn Girls Guide to Simple Knits and picked out lots of different yarns, cast on for the length of it (60 in) and then knit a different yarn for each row. I love how it turned out! check out my blog for pics: staralee.blogspot.com
