I got this from Goodwill as an ugly, brow, cheap night-stand for 10 bucks. After a bunch of coats of semi-gloss white paint and some acrylics, i make something that looks a bit more presentable (I hope). Lately, Ive been kind of obsessed with white furniture with painted designs on them. Im thinking of making more.

Let me know what you think. Im not very happy with the way the front looks - I did not realize how hard it is to pain on a vertical surface, so my hand was wobbling so much, making some branches look way thicker than I wanted them to be.

I think that is so beautiful! What a great way to revitalize a plain piece of furniture. Now you have something that is one of a kind! I think the trees look very realistic and I love the little heart apples!

I'm moving in a few weeks so I've been searching local consignment stores for cool furniture to revamp and bring to the new place. This is a great piece and you should be really proud!  Cheesy

i think most of the branches look excellent!  but why not lay the piece on its side and fix the parts you aren't satisfied with, using white paint?

PS: now i really want to do this with 2 small white hand-me-down furnitures i just got.

What is this "normal" you talk about? Is it contagious? OMG! Stay away! Don't touch me! I might catch your normal!

I think it turned out very nice! I think the tree looks quite realistic. My only suggestion would be a different door handle, but I'm not a big fan of golden fixtures...

I remember seeing handles at Home Depot that looked like little tree branches, they would look way cute on this!!

Ugly. Is irrelevant. It is an immeasurable insult to a woman, and then supposedly the worst crime you can commit as a woman. But ugly, as beautiful, is an illusion. - Margaret Cho

I always dislike something about the stuff I make.
But the branches look great to my eye.
