I made this bag earlier this week. I used a tutorial found online for the base of the bag and went from there for the rest. I really like it!! The outside is made with black linen and the inside is black and white polka dot.







What do you think?

Oh my gosh, it's fabulous!!  What a great idea!  Did you cut out and sew the tie part first, to see how it would work and then sew it into the side seams? 

I must try this.  I bet the phoebe bag pattern body would be a good starting place. 

How did you do the bow tie part in the middle?

I cut a length to stretch across the front then tied the "bow" separately when everything else was done. The Phoebe bag maybe the one that I used- I just can't remember the name.

Try it and post a picture; I'd love to see what you come up with:)
