This Necklace is a first for me, but hopefully not the last.

Made from an old unwanted CD which I broke into a bunch of pieces, and baked in the oven at 450 degrees (to soften the edges and bring out the bubbles).

I then sanded the edges to smooth them a little more, and drilled a gazillion holes (I LOVE my dremel) and attached the pieces with jump rings in no particular order and viola!

What do you think?

This is beautiful!  I love how throwing it in the oven gave it that wonderful bubbly look!

This looks fantastic! I can't imagine where you would have gotten the idea. It'll be a good one to go on Etsy, if you do that sort of thing.

Dear Craftster Friends,
Three years ago, I was much younger and dumber and I flaked on a few swaps. I am back and I promise to make it up to everyone I hurt. I had been flaked on a couple of times, and I know how cra**y it feels. I am really sorry.

The pieces almost have the look of shattered concrete.

It reads simultaneously as both rugged-industrial and elegant.

Love that!
