YES.

My inspiration, of course, being the subheading of the Home Sweet Home Reconstructed board. I've been wanting to do this for years. We gutted the bottom part and took out the motor and all the electric stuff is hidden inside. My dad did all the wiring, I pretty much just did the idea part haha.

LOL that's great.  Was your dad able to wire it so one of the blender buttons turns the light off and on?

Ahh I wish. I suggested it and he looked at me like he wanted to cry... it was kind of a tough project. It turns on with a silver toggle switch on the side, you can see it in the pictures.

Your lamp is most excellent. Just recently I was wondering if anyone had taken up the challenge, glad to see it done!

Thanks!! It's way older than me, for sure. My mom has a similar one that has to be 35+ years old.

Awesome  Grin

I have actually been wanting to do this for years but I have been waiting for an avocado green blender (I love retro green appliances). Still haven't found the right blender, but I am willing to wait! I have the lamp wiring ready to go  Cheesy

This has to go on my list of things to do. I love repurposing things into lamps.

Thanks for the idea!

I constantly find inspiration on this site...

I DID do this! A few years ago even.
Still works, still brings shock-and-awe to guests.
Manflesh helped with electric bits. He wanted to make the light bulb SPIN for crissake...too much, I said "no".
