Years ago my father picked a bunch of stones off the Lake Michigan shore and had 'em polished. I remember playing with these treasures when I was younger. I just found them in our basement a couple of days ago, and knew EXACTLY what I wanted to do with them.

I think they are just the coolest looking things ever!

I've been making a lot of hemp knick knacks lately, since michael's 40% off coupons are coming regularly in the mail, and summer sales make it even better.   Getting the knots right were hard at first, but after making a few I've got it pretty down pat. I've made eight of them in the past three days - and have plenty more stones to wrap! lol   Cheesy

What do you think?
All comments and criticism are welcome and greatly appreciated. Smiley

those are awesome! It gives a different style than the wire wrapped stones. I love it! How did you figure out how to wrap them? Did you use a tut or a book?

Thanks!
RippledWater - I've been making small hammocks lately, using that knotted net style macrame. I decided to try it on a smaller scale and figured it'd be perfect for this project. I learned it years ago, I'm not sure where - summer camp perhaps? Cheesy

I love the mix of hemp with the stones. It makes me think of those decorative fisherman's glass buoys...only in cool jewelry form. I'd totally wear these!  Wink

This is cool, but it is itchy when you wear them?
