i bought a 1982 E.T duvet cover on ebay last year with a view to making all in one jammies out of it. but I changed my mind when it arrived, the colours were more vibrant than i'd thought and the fabric is (in my opinion) still stunnng. it HAD to become daywear.

oh! look at that! it did!

and here's some detail;

E.T's ship (on my butt, sorry for the crease!)

the kids cycling on halloween, and flying

and finally, Henry Thomas and Drew Barrymore

I wore it on the school run this afternoon and nobody batted an eyelid until i pointed out that not only is it a home made dress, it's a home made dress with FRICKING E.T ON IT lol!

It also looks good with my wide belt which matches the shoes i'm wearing in the pics... but it was just too damned hot.

So cute and creative. Did you use a pattern or did you create it?

So cute and creative. Did you use a pattern or did you create it?

created with the help of Doris (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=341668.0) and a little knowledge about how to make a gypsy style skirt.

I'm a little annoyed that the husband didn't tell me I was revealing back-boobage before taking photos lol.
