MOOOOOOOOOOORE PROGRESS SHOTS! This is what I've done this morning Cheesy
I need to add some shorter bias bits on one side, and I've been adding strips to even out the bodice Smiley

EDITING TO ADD MORE PHOTOS!
(I've done a bit more since posting earlier today! I've put more skinny strips down on the bodice (lots more to go though) and added more bias bits around the waistline (again, more to go!) And I've added matching fabric to the straps which pulls the whole thing together a lot more! I'm hoping to get all the machine sewing done today so that tomorrow I can sit out in the garden in the beautiful sunshine we've got here in the UK (for a change) with a needle, thread and bits and pieces to hand sew on!

The whole thing

Thanks guyssss! I think the machine part is done for now.. maybe! I might add a few more strips on the bodice here & there but the skirt is DONE - HORRAY!!
BirdBones - There'll be no action shots from me anytime soon, scroll down to see why! But my little sister should fit into it so I'll nab her for a photoshoot once it's done Cheesy We shot some stuff with the dress cassadee made for me and she looked so cute in it!

Here's the skirt done done done:

And here's why there will be no shots of me in it! (unless I get a breast reduction asap!)

haha! Looks good from the side though Cheesy

Loukr, what if you inset a lace panel for the bust to make it wearable for yourself?

Either way, gorgeous work!

Oh, loukr.... it is so pretty! Very elfish Grin
Did you mean to make it for someone else or did the "breastage-situation" just sort of happen? (I hate when that happens, usually I just open the back and insert some sort of triangular piece of fabric) Or maybe you could take the front from a shirt with ruffles and just put it in to close the opening? Also, I like the idea of an open front with lacing Wink

Back with more progress shots! To answer the questions from before, I didn't particularly make it for me, I just.. wanted to make it, and I did start with a garment that barely fit anyway so I guess it was always going to shrink and fit someone smaller! HOWEVER, I tried it on again today and.. it fits! It's snug, but it FITS! So I'm happy!

Here are my piccies from today, not a lot but I will be working on more tomorrow.

First up, I cut in the button holes so it does up properly

Decided I didn't like the darker buttons so swapped them to match the dress colours!

Me, in it, with it done up!

AAAAaaannndddd the new additions.. I played around with making corset type lines with bias binding and ribbons but took it all off as it looked too structured. Have settled for these awesome roses, got lots more to add tomorrow, not sure whether to keep it minimak or not..!

Cheesy

That looks great. Love the roses. I have been working on the doll house, but figured out the zipper thing. I still love the draping fabric, but That lace over is exquisite.
